What My Identity Should Be: Extras

Today I thought I would share some more photos from my university project called 'What My Identity Should Be' because I didn't get the chance to share more in the first post. As you can see I had a lot of fun taking my photos for this project because of the non-serious approach I took to show the viewer my personality. In this project I wanted to show the viewer how I should dress depending on my Asian background, but instead I choose to follow the British culture more.

For the first part of the shoot I'm dressed in a loose top, jeans and flats to show how I would normally dress everyday. I prefer the more casual and comfy look compared to being dressed up too much on a daily bases. The fun began on the second part of the shoot when I changed into this dress. I wore this to show how I would be expected to dress in my culture. Fair enough it's a bit too dressy-up for everyday wear, but I enjoyed this one-off Asian look of mine. I say one-off because I seriously do not dress like this at all apart from when my family are invited to a wedding which isn't very often at all.

To find out more about this project, you can read the first post here.

If you're from an Brit-Asian background, how do you prefer to dress? Comment below or Tweet me @yasminqureshi_
